Greetings from Almaty!

We made it!! We arrived Saturday night around 11:45. We stayed in a hotel last night, and today we were taken to our apartment were we will stay the remainder of the trip.

We feel very out of place and I'm a bit out of sorts. I hope that some rest and seeing our girl will put me back in place. It's very hard to be in a country when you don't speak the language or truly understand the culture. But I'm being a big girl and trying really hard to stay strong. Thankfully Jon has taken over that roll right now, and I sure need it : )

We will be going to the minstry of education tomorrow to interview and get approval to visit the baby house. We might not meet Miss Lucy tomorrow, our timing might be off. If not, we will see her on Tuesday.

We don't have internet access in our apartment, so we are using an internet cafe at the mall around the block. It's actually quite nice and very clean. We will hopefully be able to update the blog and post some pictures every day or two.

Thanks for checking in, and hopefully we will have a face to show the next time we post : )

Get some rest and keep thinking of that little Angel Face. I keep looking at her picture and telling her that Mommy and Daddy are there and will be coming for her soon. I told her just be "patient" as Cousin Matthew would say.

It is a little disorienting at first, and you don't necessarily lose that fish out of water feeling, but none of it matters once you see that little girl. Can't wait to see pictures of her actually in your arms. -- Lynn
